Ran to Green Canyon from work with Cody. I felt a little out of shape having not run very regularly last month.

My shoes have approx. 1200 miles on them and I am starting to feel it in my knees.

We finished tying out best time.

Cody and I wanted to do something a little different today. We want to make our fast miles be under 7/mile. We mapped out a fairly flat run that would give us 10 miles and made the goal to do it under 70 minutes.

We did and it felt good.

7 miles with Cody to the High School and 2x200m striders.

My knee was acting up today and I feel it especially when I stop then start again. It happens pretty regular on this run when we are crossing 2nd North.

I had to bail out of the 2nd strider and dropped to a jog after 100 meters because of the pain. But after jogging for a half mile or so the pain was barable and we were able to stay under out 7min/mile goal

Ran on the treadmill when I got home from work. Knee hurt a little so I decided to only go a few miles. I turned the treadmill on to 9mph and ran for a 5k then walk out two laps to make 3.5.

Got to get some new shoes.

Gossner modified run with Cody and the garmin and found out that it is .08 of a mile less than we thought. Oh well.

I bought some new running shoes tonight and decided to retire my New Balances. They've been good and have taking me many miles.

I decided to try some Brooks again. The last pair I had broke down really fast on the treads but I wasn't just wearing them for running.

YESCO to Green Canyon with Cody and I am going to call all the miles fast because our average was under 7/mile.

The new shoes are great and I didn't feel my knee thing until the last 1 1/5 miles. It feels like I am running on springs. I can't believe how broken down my old shoes were even though they still looked good on the outside.

We smoked our best time by 3.5 minutes and it felt good.

Met Cody and Paul at the REC center and took off toward 1st dam, then over to Green Canyon via the shoreline trail.

Nice run but pretty cold. Shoes and knee felt good but was happy when the run was over.

Ran with Cody to the end of the Logan Golf Course river trail. I felt really good this run and didn't feel pain in my knee at all. I won't wait that long again to get new shoes. I don't like pain.

Modified Airport out and back to avoid muddy roads, at the cost of almost being run down, with Cody. We went out wanting to get 2 miles sub 6:30 and decided to do them at the start of mile 4 to the end of mile 5. We got them under our goal and I was feeling good thinking that I was going to just relax and enjoy the rest of the run but Cody was thinking something different and pushed all the way back to work.

I felt good but had a small side ache.

Ran the Green Canyon route with Cody. The wind was at our backs the first half and in our faces on the way down.

My legs were a little tired from last nights run.

I ran on the treadmill and watched a discovery channel program on what makes us human. It was kind of nice running on the treadmill again. I didn't have to worry about traffic or weather and I was able to get an hour or so of t.v. in.

Ran the airport loop with Cody. Started out fast with some 6:50's then slowed down on the second half. I have been experiencing some pain in my right knee just under the knee cap on the outside right. It will usually start hurting around 4 miles into the run.

Ran to the golden mile at the Logan Golf course.

First half the wind was at my back and I made it sub 7min/mile, but on the way back, I froze as the wind was at my face.

I figure that it was about a 10+ mph wind because when I was running with it I could feel it against my back.
